It Won't Be Long

My wife and I received some great news just the other day.  We got word that one day, soon and very soon, we will be leaving Korea.  Our being here, away from home, has given us great pause to reflect on the soon coming of Jesus Christ.  We have longed for the day when we would be able to leave this place called Korea and head on home to America.  To borrow a couple of popular phrases "There's no place like home,"  and "Home is where the heart is."  We looked into the future with great anticipation of boarding the airplane and taking our flight home.  Over the past 6 years, we have taken many individuals to the airport and have said our fond farewell's all the time wishing that it could be us, and longing for the day when it would be us.  And now that day is fast approaching.  We are preparing ourselves to leave Korea and head home.  We don't know exactly what day it will be.  We don't when we will be leaving, but one thing we do know...we have our invitation to go on home, and our departure is even at the door.  All we need to do is continue to prepare ourselves for departure so that when the day finally comes, and it's not a day too far from today, we will be ready to take flight, and we will be on our way home.

Now that we are leaving, it gives us great pause to reflect on the soon coming of Jesus Christ.  We have all longed for the day when we would be able to leave this place called grace, and head on home to glory.  To borrow a couple of popular phrases, "But now they desire a better country, that is an heavenly." and "Where your treasure is there will your heart be also."  We looked into the future with great anticipation of being able to join hands with our angels and make flight to our heavenly home.  Over the years we have said our fond farewell's to others and we have ached for the day when there would be no more weeping, no more wailing, our sorrows will be no more.  And now that day is fast approaching.  We ought to be preparing ourselves to leave this earth, and head home.  The reality is we don't know exactly what day it will be.  We don't know when we will be leaving, but one thing we do...we have our invitation to go on home, and His coming is even at the door.  What we need to do now is continue to prepare ourselves for departure so that when the day finally comes, and it's not a day too far from today, we will be ready to take flight, and we will be on our way home.
